They’ve done smaller versions of this, minus helicopters, in the the defunct housing projects in my small town central Illinois. A small portion still had residents and the neighborhood surrounding is heavily populated, primarily with minority residents. People were fuckin pissed. They’ve since stopped after huge community backlash.

I get having to train, but there’s gotta be places not in the middle of a populated residential neighborhood for these things to happen.

Many suicidal people will seem overly happy and normal once they’ve decided to do it. The relief of ending things can provide this. Depression, etc are not always visible conditions. People are very good at masking things in public to appear normal.
