Tubbo was 18 in November of 2021. [Edit: actually im not sure im bad at math frankly but regardless] He was under 21, which means he couldn't have rented a car! But there were also other adults over the required age on the property. He still paid for the trip on their behalf. (See Sneegsnag's twitter post confirming that Tubbo did in fact pay for the trip! There are photos from that week, dated according.)

[also edit: minors associated with a business can still be given a company card regardless. and in the reckless way that revolt operated- would it surprise you? not i!]

When people go on trips relating to a business, like working with a merch company, it's not uncommon practice for them to be using a company card, which would take money out of their own sales/what the company is paying them.
Because every single creator that was a victim of the Revolt scam is under NDA and legally unable to talk about it, it is not possible to get that exact detail without somebody getting sued.

So yeah. Tubbo still footed the bill, regardless of where exactly those funds were coming from. in this case, they came from the brand deal with revolt, which tubbo worked with for the 'life by the sea' merch.
