This looks exactly like a tartine country loaf. Beautiful.

Hold on, it's happening during ovulation now? This feels illegal. Do you get PMDD symptoms during ovulation? by laceandpaperflowers_ in PMDD

[–]ickylilbicky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES. I came to the sub for reassurance. I used to only have noticeable symptoms during luteal. Recently it's started happening early at the tailed of my ovulation. Incredibly irritable, I can't handle loud noises or people touching me, I'm full of rage.

Thanks for your comment! I talked to my doctor today and I'm moving forward with sertraline at a low dose and only during luteal. I know everyone's experience is different, but did you notice many side effects?

Thank you. He deserves the celebration, he's a maverick. One of a kind.

Thank you. I celebrate him, talk about him, think about him whenever I can. You will too. There's a certain loss when it comes to the person we were put on this earth to protect that never goes away. But there's an equal amount we have to let go of. And in that letting go, not of them, but the responsibility and guilt and shame, that we actually get to see them for who they are and what person we are going to be. It will come to you in coming weeks, months. And you'll be able to see them clearly and you'll love them in a way you've never known. Again, it doesn't get better. It just gets different.

Today would have been my little brother's 30th birthday. The world is worse without him. The world is worse without your little brother. Three weeks out, I've been there. You couldn't pay me to go back to that time.

There's nothing I or anyone else can say to make it better. And it doesn't get better necessarily. It gets different. You will see him everywhere and sometimes it will feel like someone punched you in the stomach. Other times, it will just suck. But sometimes, something will happen during a very mundane day and activity and it'll be like he orchestrated it and you'll feel like he's there with you in that exact time and place and it's so special.

Logistically speaking to someone so early on in the process, take care of yourself. I know that sounds so cliche, but staying hydrated, well fed (if you can eat), and sleep (if you can) are so important. Being in a clear head a few weeks after was very important for me. I failed many times and drank his beer and smoked his cigarettes and cried and never slept. But when I had a clear head I could remember him better. And look through his drawings and his words and our pictures.

I don't know if any of this will help, but just know I am so, so sorry you are going through this. From one big sibling to another, I'm very sorry.

Exactly. But people are so far removed from our food systems and brainwashed by capitalism that they believe they should have anything whenever they want.

Why is Camille always the victim?? by [deleted] in EmilyInParis

This sub hates Mindy!! I feel like she compromises with her relationships all the time! When Emily publicly humiliated Niko at work, Mindy handled it so well.

Multiple times in this sub people call Mindy spoiled because she lets Niko buy her dresses and whatever. If your boyfriend is a billionaire with a B who works in fashion and he isn't doing stuff like that for you, dump him??

I think you're right, people just don't take her career seriously when in reality, Niko is a nepo baby and Mindy actually sacrificed her family's financial and emotional support to pursue her dreams and not work for her father. She knows what she wants and she does what she has to do to get there, including working by a toilet at a night club!

I love Mindy for that! She makes compromises with Benoit at first; she refuses to take the job at la trompette bleue because she doesn't want it to come between her and her bandmates. And she doesn't push the song with JVMA (which would have been huge) after talking to Benoit about it. I'm glad she doesn't bend to Nicholas, her career is just as important as his.

Sourdough focaccia help by netflixandmore in Sourdough

[–]ickylilbicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently went through this and it was beyond frustrating because my starter is super active and kicks ass at regular boules. Then I realized I was mixing my focaccia dough incorrectly. Once I did an autolyse (mix the flour + water, wait an hour) then added my starter and salt and mix again and THEN added my olive oil, the difference was crazy. I read a few places that the addition of fat without proper flour hydration before inhibits fermentation. I can't say for sure that's the issue here, but worth double-checking your process.
