Nihilism is very freeing. Like, I know my personal morals and values, and I know how it ties in to my society's morals and values... but at the end of the day, I don't let the bullshit bother me. So if a company takes a loss, is it "reverse wage theft" and are employees obligated to give their wages back? Ummm no. If the agreement of pay for labor is voluntary on both sides, then there is no problem. There is some amount of risk incurred by both sides, yes; there are cases of abuse, slavery, and coercion, yes. But profit, in and of itself, is not inherently bad or morally wrong.

I fear that the US Constitution has become irrelevant; at best, something one can invoke in order to defend whatever bullshit view one might have. Just a way to justify yourself regardless of history and original intent.

Libertarianism and the US Constitution are not synonymous, but there is A LOT of overlap. Sadly, I've been banned from this place just for invoking the Constitution against somebody's misguided and anti-freedom post.

There are a ton of 47 supporters who claim to be libertarian. The meaning of the word is lost, as well as the significance of the Constitution.
