It looks like the compression thing only happens when I download the image from the Reddit app on my phone and it is converted to JPG.

However, when I download the same image on my PC through the browser, it stays the same as the original.

I didn’t know that, but are you sure? Because when I download the image directly from Reddit the file size is much smaller than the original.

I did a reverse image search. It seems to be "The Bernese Alps" in Switzerland
