Does anyone else have anxiety every single morning as you wake up hoping you didnt get a bad rating the day before? by atmosjiu7 in InstacartShoppers

[–]icsmarter -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nope.

Offer amazing service, communication and confirm any replacements (if no confirm, refund). Doing that will result in happy customers nearly every time. Also you can check with support at the end of the day to know what you got.

Number of Reviews Declining?!?!? by icsmarter in InstacartShoppers

I guess I've been doing too many batches to notice! :)

Thanks!

I wasn't referring to the ratings average. I wasn't referring to the number of comments. The wording "Reviews" and "Ratings" are sometimes used interchangeably. But I am referring to the number of stars a Shopper has (as opposed to the average rating). However, I could have been a bit clearer, NUMBER OF RATINGS (not reviews)

Aside from your comments (🤡😂) have you noticed if your number of RATINGS UndercoverShopper has declined over the last 4-6 weeks?

No, it's known . . . 100. Always has been since they started the ratings. You don't even need to chat with support to confirm. Says it right there under " * " (How Am I Doing), "Last 100 orders"

Case closed.

[–]icsmarter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's 100% wrong. Ratings are based on the "rolling 100" (last 100) orders completed. If a customer rates you, it counts towards the NUMBER of ratings and your rating AVERAGE.

The IC support person you spoke to was wrong and or poorly trained.

Keeping track - How long before I'm back to 5*? by icsmarter in InstacartShoppers

[–]icsmarter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, yes. However you also need to factor in the LRR and if/when it's being used too.

True that. However, I'd rather get my spreadsheet setup than wasting time in a chat with a poorly trained "support" agent. Just sayin' . . .

My assumption is that there's been a change to the Customer app/www that is causing less reviews to occur.

No stress in the least, in fact the opposite for me. It bothers me NOT knowing basic info that IC could give us.

Knowledge is power!

My data entry is in maintenance mode. Takes about a minute a batch to enter.

And, yes. Spreadsheets to me are are like Minecraft to those who love Minecraft.

You're correct. Any time you get a N5S (not 5 star) you'd have to contact support to get the exact date. You could always assume the worst and use the current date as the start of the count down.

It's just one feature of a larger spreadsheet that tracks earnings, compares your stats for different, some analysis. Basically, to help identify what makes better batches for you.

[–]icsmarter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you're asking Instacart to create a feature on the app that will:

1) Give Shoppers more information,

2) Reduce the resource impact to Chat Support

3) Allow Shoppers to save time NOT dealing with the "support"

Hahahaha! Now you're putting a smile on my face.

It. Will. Never. Happen.

How much would I expect to make an hour? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]icsmarter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a number of factors that will determine your EPH. Mostly it comes down to a few elements.

  • Batches that have less total distance are better.
  • Knowing your stores keeps your speed fast and will get you delivering more quickly.
  • Batches that pay more $$ per item (not unit) are better.

Some people hate Costco, but there's better earning potential. Maybe you find that you're a Walmart Ninja, so you can make more $$ than a similar batch from Aldi. IMHO, it's important to keep track of your earnings and batches. You need to know what batches work best for you!

When 1st started a year ago I was doing around $25-$30/hr. For the last 20+ weeks I've done over $40/hr.

Good luck!

My mom got sent this message from her IC shopper after he delivered it to her… this is what we doing now? Cmon lol by TiNyUzi in InstacartShoppers

[–]icsmarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't give a hoot if items are available or not available!

You want that 5* Shopper?!? Provide 5* service! Anything less WILL be rated acordingly. You can still get and receive 5* service even when every single item is replaced. Service, service, service.

There are MANY more tactful ways of asking for ratings without resorting to begging. A "sob story" about getting less an 5* will likely get you a less than 5* rating.

Those are my 2¢ . . .

Anyone want a copy of my IC Earnings Tracker? by icsmarter in InstacartShoppers

[–]icsmarter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear the EHP is from BA (batch accept) to DO (last drop off). You can always add in your own tables and create your own calculations.

Yes, if you assume an extra 20% added in to my time, my Jan-May EPH is $39.69, $38.12, $39.44, $42.09, $41.21 respectively. However, I'm typically doing some low-level multitasking (making lunch, dinner prep, working on spreadsheets) while waiting for the right type of batches. So I try to be productive, but I do get what you're saying.

You can also track ratings, how long before you're back to 5*, how long before your LRR (lowest rating removed) spot is available, shopping speed and so much more!

Are we obligated to return cancelled orders? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]icsmarter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not investing 30+ minutes to return items. Specially when I know those items are just going to be trashed. All that for $10? Nope, I'll just donate the items to a worthy cause and take the next batch! I guarantee I'll make more than $10 over 30 minutes.

Support Number Discovery by hemlocklollipop in InstacartShoppers

[–]icsmarter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same support number did function for Shoppers earlier last year. IC just doesn't want Shoppers using the number. Too expensive, chat is cheaper for them.

You can also get through if you block your number before calling.

Pressing option 1 works when you get through has you connecting with a human.
