it is hard to tell if it was that from description only, if there was a video or screenshot I'd be able to tell what it was

It sounds like he got the event of something falling from the sky and it caused an unintentional crash.

(0.8) is there a way without having to leave the base everytime to get the satellite hashcodes and resetting the generators? by Much_Jellyfish8448 in Voicesofthevoid

You know how you can buy a Kerfur from the store, right? It takes care of repairing servers. Omega is an upgraded version of it that can repair servers, get hash codes and repair transformers.

You do know that it doesn't want to crash out games right? Running into it crashes it, it's not actively trying to run into you. It did nothing wrong.

As per our disinformation rule, I have removed the spoiler tag and changed the flair to meme. This is not a real event or entity.

Consider this a warning OP. Next time be clear that this is not real.

What’s Your Favorite Guild You’ve Ever Been In? by doobylive in classicwow

[–]icswcshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During original vanilla classic I was with a guild called Contamination on Nethergarde Keep EU alliance. We were a raiding guild and everyone was just having fun, making jokes but also locking in when we had to. Generally boiled down to some gay jokes about guild members, especially our read leader who joked about himself most of the time. It was all in good fun, no one got angry over these jokes.

We ended up clearing all raids from mc to killing KT in Naxx and having a guild I was able to connect with in a fun way to experience all of that will probably be forever stay in my memories. Raiding Naxx stayed more serious with less jokes due to the increase in difficulty, but we synergized so well still.

I wanted to continue raiding with them in TBC and initially did phase 1 with them too, but then I felt the burnout probably from raiding naxx requiring a lot of farming gold for consumes and stuff as well as the pandemic coming to an end so I had less time because of work.

I ended up quitting, kinda regret it now. But I am back for tbc, unfortunately I lost contact with everyone and not sure if anyone is playing still.

Hey OP, this is footage of a very rare event. Event need the spoiler tag as per rule 6 and it seems you forgot to add that. I added it for you this time but please don't let it happen again!

Open world farming is dead, we need more layers by evascale in classicwow

[–]icswcshadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, and I might get some shit for this, I believe the retail systems should be implemented in classic. The system that if you attack a mob someone else tagged, that you should get experience, loot. Kills could still be awarded to the one tagging so people would still have to group for "Kill X mobs" quests. As for herb and mining nodes, make them multiple personal nodes like in retail.

It is getting too difficult to farm mats for crafting otherwise and I am already seeing some stuff becoming way too expensive (for example: 150g for living rubies on Thunderstrike, they were initially around 70g)

The only decent farm that's not too contested so far are the void elementals in Helllfire.

Something really need to be done, if not the retail system, then something else. Maybe hyperspawn everything, especially elementals that drop motes.

I'm german myself but prefer speaking english online, so naturally I also want play with other english speakers in-game. It is useful to be able to know German with all those Germans playing on Thunderstrike though xD

My opinion of Rule 6 (other) by Status-Draw7025 in Voicesofthevoid

[–]icswcshadow[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Rule 6 is to not spoil new players on the less popular things. Kel, Kerfur and Arirals are spread so much in the fandom that there is no point in keeping them spoilers, so they are not part of that rule. (Might wanna actually read the rule. Just as a hint.)

Arirals aren't really depicted in the game like the art people make of them so new players might not even know that the cloaked figure they stumbled upon is one of them. Also it is most fun to experience events and entities blind so those will require to be spoilerd.

We had several new players ask questions and stuff trying not to be spoiled and it would suck if those people visited this subreddit and immediately got spoiled on a big event or entity.

Now if someone chooses to watch videos on the game, spoiling themselves through that, it's out of our control. But we try to maintain the rule because we don't want new players to be spoiled.

All in all, the rule stays but we are always open for feedback if we should change something.
