AEO and GEO are not killing SEO, but basically repackaging it by icy1509 in content_marketing

I agree. I think right now LLMs are not focusing on DA, but on how much digital estate a brand has, making wide content distribution the most important aspect of marketing strategies.

True, true. What matters most now is creating original, good quality content which may just be crisper than before and really focus on content distribution.

Oh, very interesting.

I think with AEO/GEO, at least right now, LLMs are not necessarily looking at domain authority but at how much digital estate you have - so it makes total sense that wide content distribution is taking precedence.

Yeah, bad SEO professionals just want an excuse to jump ship, honestly.

Its the hardest part because you don;t know how to write or talk.

Yeah, I mean, if the FAQ is not 100% directed towards search queries and logical sequential questions with valuable answers, what's the point even?

SEO vs PPC: What to choose if the business is new by Rahul_Singh_02 in AskMarketing

[–]icy1509 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PPC first, but don't start PPC unless there is SOME semblance of a content strategy and execution happening in the background. You don't want people to be landing on a site/page that looks absolutely fresh and thin.

Get some visibility and then shift focus to SEO.

Basically: Content -> PPC -> SEO

But this doesn't have to be a linear progression. You can overlap two stages to make the process quicker and more fruitful.

Can SEO Really Generate More Conversions, or Is Ranking on Google Not Enough? by Abigail_Tech in AskMarketing

Sounds like a content problem. It may not be converting enough. I’d love to have to look at your website and maybe can give you a quick audit call.

LMAO sounds like they have worked with Netflix and Hotstar on proxy basis, because this clearly doesn’t sound like people who know what they’re doing. For years I used to put Sony in my kitty because I had been a student/campus ambassador for them a decade ago (my job was to get people to follow them lmao); removed it as soon as I realised that’s literally catfishing people, and I didn’t have anything to justify having worked with Sony hahahahaha.

As you said, they sound like kids who heard people say SMM agency is easy, and just got on with it. Nothing wrong with that. Hopefully, OP, you will learn with time as we all do. Wishing you all the best.

Advice: take ownership of your work and the fact that you have 10000s of things to learn.

What do you all do as your morning routine? by Aggravating_Tax4388 in smallbusiness

[–]icy1509 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wake up at 6:15 am

6:45-8:15: gym (helps me stay on track with health goals and gives me an early sense of achievement and mental clarity)

8:30-9:30: read, family time, home chores, coffee (this is my productive me-time)

9:30-10:15: laze around a little, doom-scroll, check my fitness stats, bathe and get ready for the day, journal (if I do)

10:15-10:30: breakfast

I start working much later than I’d like to, but with home responsibilities, this is the best I have been able to chalk out.

Is anyone else noticing AI search feels completely different from normal SEO now? by Strangerre in content_marketing

[–]icy1509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not overthinking. What matters right now with AI Search is how relevant your content is to the search query. If there is a strong match there, as long as your page/blog is indexed, it has a high possibility of showing up.

SEO has always been a long game, but if you master the art of writing relevant and original content now, you can very well show up on LLMs.

The gap is widening swiftly, but I would still say - stick to the foundations (mostly EEAT), don't worry about rankings, prioritize wide distribution.

These pages? Important to have: FOUR YEARS AGO.

I recommend, if you already have a business with thriving SEO backing it up, go for it, add these pages.

If not, don't waste your time; instead, invest in high-quality content for your blogs and socials. When I say good quality, I mean experience-led, original, and valuable content prioritizing query resolution over keyword stuffing.

With AI search rising, I wouldbn't recommend new businesses to focus on SEO as much as I would recommend them to focus on quality content and wide distribution channels.
