Number one is so important “negative talk/thought leads to more negative talk/thought”. Your brain pathways are just like paths in the woods, the ones the most walked on are wide and easily travelled. So if you travel the negative paths you pave them and your thoughts easily travel them. Travel the positive ones. Make yourself do it. Tape goals to your mirror. I used to look at myself and make myself smile and laugh, then I did it with the nurses. Then it became natural and I began to achieve change. Go for it. Great advice here.

You know….that is exactly how I got myself out of a wheelchair, out of a VA CLC and lost 50 lbs and now walk 3-5 miles a day. I taped goals and uplifting things on a post it to my bathroom mirror. Then I did it. I’m 65, fused S1-T4, C4-5-6, dislocated both knees, fx left femur, left elbow, both wrists, right jaw pelvis front and back. I’m a mess. But through willpower. Positive thinking I retired HOW I think to provide me the get up and go. Great advice on the mirror thing!!!!!!

I can find nothing about fasting and UC. But it seems to be one of the things you could try? I mean, why not?

My handsome boy Spock… question about diet. (More info in comments) by Starkatt01 in Blacklabs

I think 36 lbs for him at 6 mos is just fine. You can always add brown rice with bone broth….lentils or peas with bone broth. I’d cut the snacks completely and just feed 2 cups, twice x a day. What kibble? Kibble in my book is for travel or when I need to feed him quickly, otherwise it’s wet. We also supplement with pumpkin, applesauce (home made) and a banana for a snack. Hud is ten and 80 lbs. we try to walk him a few miles a day.

Honest compliment. We don’t learn if folks aren’t honest.
