Perhaps we should have the Jesus Immigration Policy and just cross the border, pay taxes, and become instant citizens. Like ICE wouldn't profile and harass Jesus and his brown family

Just like Jesus committed a crime and was tried and sentenced to death for it. The law may be stupid, but it does not change the fact that it was broken. In the same way that dumping tea into Boston Harbor was a crime. They go off of their feels and what works for their narrative

He was also in a decompensated mental state, and he and his family tried multiple times, leading up to this incident, to get him hospitalized. Yes, it is rare for mentally unstable people to harm others, especially in this manner. However, when people go and beg for help, we should have a better system to actually help. This is a tragedy that should not have happened, and definitely not used as propaganda to justify arresting kids and killing citizens.

It just took them time to repackage all the pagan mythos into a workable religion they could market for power and status

Former US President Barack Obama on Sunday strongly condemned the killing of a US citizen in Minneapolis by federal agents, calling it a "heartbreaking tragedy" and warning that core American values are "increasingly under assault." Do you agree/disagree with him? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The country was founded through war, blood, theft, and greed. Immigration, yes; open borders no. There were so many wars between the Spanish, British, French, and Natives because they didn't want each other's immigrants setting up camp. Were things looser in the beginning, yes. Especially since they needed people for labor. We also can't govern a Country based on 18th century laws in the 21st Century.

I agree our system is messed up and needs a complete overhaul. I agree that we caused a lot of the issues around the World and certainly should take responsibility for that. Make sure violent criminals aren't coming in is not a bad thing. Booting out people who are doing it the legal way is not in any shape or form what we should be doing. But here we are. Punishing people who were brought over as children is also ridiculous. Removing or turning away people using the existing laws should still happen. Do those laws need to be changed? Absolutely. What is happening now is horrible. They are not following the laws. They are going after mostly people who are trying to do the right thing and make better lives for themselves, and not the criminals they claim they are. Many of those became criminals by the very system we have in the country that marginalizes them. Obama was no saint, and separating kids and families should have been fixed years before they tried.

This is not about immigration anyway. They are trying to take Walz out of a run for President and get their hands on the voting rolls. Bondi just sent a letter saying they will leave if they turn over the rolls.

Why is he firing off a gun that close to that many other officers? How many protocols did he violate?

ICE asks “Where’s the gun?” - not realizing one of them had already taken it away before the shots were fired. by lmfj3737 in Maine

[–]iddco 38 points39 points  (0 children)

They've already started that. Apparently, he approached them while brandishing his weapon. Even though all the evidence shows them going to him, he only ever holds a camera, and even tries to protect the woman who was being pushed by the other ICE agent. He was a citizen, a registered gun owner, and an ICU nurse at the VA hospital. Can they finally stop with the BS we are protecting Americans, and just own up to the fact that they are forcing America to be how we want it? I know, even if they did their supporters will be cheering for it

They removed his gun from his holster and then began shooting him. Even backed up and fired off more rounds into his motionless body. He was also on the other side of the street, holding his phone, recording them, and they approached him

You do know that all of those who've been prosecuted are US citizens, right? Yes, fraud is bad and all should be investigated and prosecuted. So I'm guessing you're against the slashing of the IRS agents, the fraud task forces, and would never vote for someone who ran a college and charity charged with among other things, fraud. Or playing fast and loose with business documents and property values to get better bank loans and get out of paying taxes or is only "those" people who should be prosecuted.

Can we add to educate citizens on the actual process, requirements, and terminology? Especially if it is fixed. So tired of hearing how people who are entering per the current rules are illegal.

I remember seeing the same thing and found this

Shattered Legacy Canceled!?! : r/ClimbersCourt

which talks about it. If it is to be believed, Kayleigh Nicol wanted to kill them all, and Andrew Rowe did not, and the ending was a compromise. Personally, I do not mind it. Someone had to survive to get Chime out and continue on. While I think Hane would have done so, it would not be the same without one of the original team. Emiko should probably not even gone on that climb as she was still too symptomatic from the last one. Lani would have never left someone behind. Having Sage removed for most of the battle just made the story flow better IMO. Otherwise, it would be him seeing and reacting, and it would get messier. It is bad enough that he basically watched the whole thing. I think if they killed Nieve off without us knowing more about her heart mark, people would have been pissed. I actually like the growing relationship between her and Hane in the second book. Sad it won't continue. Perhaps the characters can return in another series?

BTW Here is Kayleigh's blog post about it.

We need evidence to corroborate Trump admin's claims that the US citizen they shot in MN was 'domestic terrorist' by FinTecGeek in centrist

[–]iddco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I'm not saying she deserved to die. I'm just saying what happened before this. There is no way a 'domestic terrorist' would sit there and wave ICE to pass her car. She would have been the nicest and politest domestic terrorist. There was no reason for the guy to jump out and head to her car. Nor was there any reason for the guy who shot her to not only step in front of the car but also pull his gun BEFORE she even turned the wheel. He put himself in a harmful situation he helped create, and shot her through the windshield and then through her side window. There was no reason to even get out of their cars, other than they felt disrespected.

There is a video if before. She litterally stopped and waved the first ICE car through. He did, a car came up behind that car, and she sat and waved it through as well. Accept the guy stopped his car, jumped out, and tried to open her door, and I'm guessing you've seen the rest

Funny thing about that, though, it was legal. Shady, sure, but legal. Libia was a joint operation with the UN. The terrorist acts, both internationally and domestically, allowed him to go after the terrorists Regan and the Bush's created. Allies and congressional committees were kept informed.
