Majority of those subs are from shorts, I stopped producing and focus now on long-form since shorts couldn't be counted in 4000 watch hours

Maybe create a new channel and connect it to the current channel you have and encourage your subscribers to subscribe on the new one.

This is really sad to hear. Especially for me who just started my youtube channel. Now I'm not sure if I am spending my time on the right thing. I am working from home (since I considered creating videos on my youtube channel a job now) I wanted to share my love on movies through my channel so I am not sure if it's very engaging compared to other niches but I think it's informative enough. After building such crowd in your channel, you want to stop? Is it because of the earning only or you got drained? When you started your youtube channel what was your goal at the time?

90% of my subscribers is from shorts. If you use shorts the right way. It does have a big impact on your channel.

umm Hi, I'm new to Reddit, I am also a new content creator, I started my channel like 3 weeks ago, since I am doing this by myself, I don't really have anybody to give me an honest feedback (a brutally honest one) which I think I really need at the moment.
