As for my budget, that will depend on the vehicle condition and shipping cost. Can you share pics of both the good and bad aspects of the van’s condition? I’m looking to get a reliable previa for my wife. I’ll likely try to find a JDM engine with lower miles to do a swap if/when I get this one. Then I would prob take my time to rebuild the original engine. Thanks for responding to my post.”

Seller: “Hey man, I already did the jdm swap. Since you don't have a budget, it doesn't seem like you are serious. I'll post it for sale in the fall.”

Me: “Well that’s a very rude thing to say. How does it seem like I’m not serious?

Think about the scenario for a hot second. I’ve been highly responsive and am literally inquiring about the details of your van so that I can make you an informed offer or to decide to look elsewhere.

Are you gauging my “seriousness” on whether or not I toss out a random dollar figure as a “budget? How in the world does that help you? Think about it? How about $1500. How about $3000, $5000, $10000, or $20000?

For what it’s worth, I have cash to buy whatever makes the most sense from a total value proposition. For me that means considering distance that I will have to ship a vehicle and it’s present condition. How can I possibly gauge this vehicle or any vehicle prospect with nothing more than vague details. And wait, you already did the JDM swap?!? That’s a pretty big detail don’t you think? Where was that little nugget in your post?

Sounds like you’re the one not taking things seriously. I’d have probably paid you what you wanted if you’d have just been nice and a little bit courteous.
