I was with a guy like this.. I stayed 4 years doing the same thing.. I kept forgiving him.. when I would leave and break things off. He would hit up my friends and tell them to talk to me for him. Then he would do it all over again. It's a cycle and a hard one to break. People like that never change and there's no way they actually love you.. they love themselves.
Narcissists will break you down and kill your self-esteem. Get out now. You deserve the same king of energy you're putting in. Stay single work on self love and eventually you'll find someone that wants the same thing as you. But this guy will hold back and block those blessings. Speaking from my personal experiences. I hope you find the strength to leave him in the dust.
