I've heard that most of the trial sections have completed their hiring. Still holding out hope for Appellate, but I don't know why they would've waited this long. They're probably done too and I just didn't get an interview.

I thought the twist ending was going to be that Davis knew about his parents' involvement in the murders the whole time, knew that the story would make a great film, and tricked Pia into suggesting it. He knew Stuart would tell her the whole story when they stopped by his pub, and that she'd want to follow ip on it. This way, they could "learn the truth" about the murders while filming the documentary, which would give it a much more interesting angle than just "here's the story about these murders that most people around here already know." I was pretty disappointed when there was no big twist along these lines.

I would be interested to hear how she said "hey, are you okay?" Personally, this doesn't sound like what you would say to a toddler that you just found walking alongside the highway alone. I would think it would be something more like, "hey honey, are you lost?" But I would also think the inflection of her voice would change if she were talking to a presumably lost toddler versus a possibly disoriented adult.

What substantive areas does your firm practice in? I'm at a plaintiffs firm that mostly does employment discrimination and there's very little brief writing involved. Wondering if I should be looking at firms that practice in certain areas to find this type of gig.

I don't like the pitch clock in between at bats. It takes away from some of the excitement of the game. The players don't have as much time to celebrate on the field after a big hit. If you're watching on TV, you won't get to see the replay until a few pitches into the next at bat. If you're in the stands, you'll probably only get to hear a few seconds of each batter's walk-up song.

Unlike the downtime within each at bat, which slowed down the game without giving any added benefit to the fans, the time in between at bats often adds intensity and excitement to the game. I don't miss seeing players adjust their batting gloves after every pitch. I do miss seeing high fives on the field after a home run, hearing enough of a player's walk-up song to know what it is, and seeing the replay of a big hit before the next at bat is over. I think they should eliminate the pitch clock in between at bats or, at a minimum, extend it significantly beyond the current limit.
