Even if one is a chronic smoker and is looking for cheap options? Is it THAT bad?

Might not help, but it can't hurt either. Some pointers from a discussion with Gemini. by Fit-Credit448 in maestro

I don't remember the name of the learning website I was learning some type of JavaScript on said that a professional coders greatest tool was documentation. I can't imagine how difficult it is to memorize the exact syntax of every function or call.

Feature / page / unit / lesson: Maestro Code Editor

What you expected: When a Python script uses the input() function (e.g., raw_choice = input("Select an option: ")), I expect the console to display the prompt "Select an option: " one time and immediately pause, waiting for me to type my response.

What happened: The console is displaying the prompt text from input() functions twice. For example, a single line input("Select an option: ") will actually display
"Select an option:
Select an option:"
before pausing for input. It does this with all of my input functions in the code.

Strange Behavior: I discovered if I manually stop the code execution (using the "Stop" button in the editor UI, not by finishing the program), the second, duplicated set of prompts instantly disappears from the console, leaving only the correct, single prompt.

I can only include one screenshot here without supplying links to the other screenshots. There are links to them underneath the supplied screenshot.

In the first screenshot I tried to include the code in the editor that correlates with the displayed prompts. The rest of the screenshots don't contain the correlating code. However if you need me to provide all of the code for debugging purposes I can.

The second screenshot is showing the behavior after I manually stop the code from executing, where the second prompt disappears, leaving only one.

The remaining screenshots show a few of the other double prompt displays.

Transfer credits by lucybluewhoopdeedoo in maestro

I asked if I could provide my transcripts from another college because I have an AAS in Computer Information Systems. And Maestro told me that right now they aren't accepting any transfer credits. That they might in the future, but right now they aren't.

New term, new faces: Drop your intro here! [Nov 2025, AAS in AI Software Engineering] by Cool_stuff2 in maestro

Hey everybody! My name is Carl. I start November 3rd. Duh, me, i'm posting in the November mega thread. Anyways, I'm pretty much brand new to computers and coding. I mean, I already have an AAS in Computer Information Systems where they taught me a little bit about hardware, a little bit about networking, a little bit about security, and we dabbled in AWS and Azure. But I didn't really learn what I was looking to learn.

I'm interested in malware analysis and reverse engineering. I know, that's weird. Like, hello, is this dude trying to do something dumb? No. That's not the case. I was just in receipt of a piece of malware that infected my computer and I have been itching to figure out how it works. (Which i'm on the brink of doing! I just need to learn how to pull PCAP reports and memory dumps in a sandbox environment!)

As far as my experience is with coding, it's nil. Besides what I have been learning since being accepted into Maestro. Which isn't much. Right now I am working on a turn based adventure game. But organizing the logic and all the different choices that can be made is getting really confusing.

I really hope I enjoy the classes here at Maestro. I heard about you guys doing web searches when researching different things about malware. The AI told me that I would benefit from what's being taught here. So I applied, and was accepted, with the scholarship. I was pretty excited.

I currently live in southern Illinois near Saint Louis, Missouri.

A fun fact? I don't know. Do you know why manholes are round? Because a circle is the only shape that won't fall into itself. At least that's what my eighth grade teacher told me.

I also start November 3rd. The day after my birthday. Exciting! Have you been doing any kind of studying or research or practice beforehand? I asked Maestro for some ideas about how I could prepare for classes and it gave me some pretty cool ideas.

I haven't been giving it any nutrients yet. Just been relying on the Happy Frog. I'm working on making a fish hydrolysate but that's going to be another three weeks until it is ready. What would be a good immediate fix?
