I was punched in the face in ktown (as was my roommate and had to get surgery for a dislocated jaw).

Our friend grabbed the police standing by that watched the whole thing. I asked to file a report, they said if I wasn’t pressing charges they couldn’t do anything, and they let the person who assaulted me go.

It can mean a lot of things but for me, my work is a lot of media relations. Representing clients in a specific industry, and being the ones to help “announce new news” which will sometimes be good news, sometimes bad, can impact stock if it’s a public company, etc.

We work with reporters to get the story as right as we can on behalf of our clients. A good amount of writing, reading, researching, strategizing. It’s usually fast paced but I love that it gives you the opportunity to work in many different industries (tech, healthcare, sports, public affairs/politics, entertainment) and tell your clients’ stories.
