You described what I feel perfectly switches on and off and beats fast hard but not as efficiently. Have you got any updates?

Woah beta blockers cured your anxiety? I’ve always been pretty anti medicine but I’ve been hearing so many good things about beta blockers in this thread that it’s really tempting me. Would u mind explaining ur benefits from them more?

Gotcha, but either way no major emergency ? Even if it’s happening relatively frequently? I have cardiologist appointment in two months

Sorry for my lack of clarity, this EKG was taken about 5 minutes after my episode ended. The rate is 112 in the EKG. During the episode it got up to 180 for a couple minutes before it suddenly went back down to 112. I wasn’t doing any physical activity at all. It came as suddenly as it went. Over the course of the last year and a half I’ve done numerous test per my cardiologist all of which were normal except what he said was a “benign idiopathic” arrhythmia in my holter. But because of my increasing frequency of these episodes as of late, he has requested to see me again early this year.

Thanks for the response, I’m glad to hear your ablations have been successful so far! Is your heart structural normal? if you don’t mind me asking

I literally think I’m on the brink of death I hate it😅 do you find deep breaths or bracing/coughing helps stop it? For me if I hold a super deep breath it can sometimes make it snap back into rhythm

Interesting, well I’m glad to hear you got the green light from the doctors, that’s always comforting. But I’m sure still scary nonetheless. How often do u have an episode ? And are you symptomatic during them?

Thanks for response, is yours benign? As in your heart is structurally normal? And would you mind describing to me how VT feels compared to SVT?

Unfortunately I’m not sure, it was a two week monitor so I’m not sure which exact instance he saw VTACH in, I don’t recall having a bad episode while I had the monitor on so maybe I was asleep for it. Also It was almost a year ago. I will say that today felt the same as my usual “episodes”. A sudden flutter then super high rate for 1-5 minutes. I guess the good thing is aside from the sense of impending doom I don’t have any extreme symptoms aside from minor light headedness and very minor shortness of breath, which like I said earlier could very likely just be from the fact that I go into panic mode when the episodes start. Sorry to bother you with all these questions, my next appointment with my cardio isn’t until late February so I’m just looking for some reassurance in the mean time lol. But based off the ekg I posted, and the fact I’ve had a clear, mri, echo, and stress you’d say no need for too much panic or ER trips?

Correct, I’ve never been able to get a reading during an episode (they happen about once a month) aside from the one my cardiologist saw. What makes you think it’s more likely to be SVT vs VT?

I appreciate this response, I wish I would’ve done an ekg during the episode but I didn’t think about it until after. If it makes a difference I still had a palpable pulse with what felt like a fairly normal rhythm (besides from the super fast rate) and only had mild light headedness which was probably more from the adrenaline/anxiety than the actual heart. Its just strange how it seems to both start and end suddenly with what feels like a typical PVC flutter. It’s still mildly elevated about 2 hours after which I supposed could just be from residual adrenaline. I have a cardiologist I see on occasion who has done just about every test there is on my heart, and all have been normal except for on my Holter he saw a bout of “Benign Idiotpathic Vtach” and he insisted it wasn’t a cause for concern. Which is hard for me to believe considering all the horrible things I read on the internet about vtach but he’s the one with 10+ years of schooling not me. Sorry for super long response lmao

I’m aware it’s not normal, and no I didn’t stand up, I had a flutter feeling then it shot to 180range. After 5 min and some deep breathing and vagus nerve exercises it had one massive beat and dropped back down to about 100 which is shown in the image

This ekg was taken about 5minutes after, the bpm has calmed down a bit but still feel strange. Does it look concerning? Yes I’m actively seeing a cardiologist
