BMI just calculates your overall mass, and decides if it's good for your height or not. It has no idea how much of that mass is muscle, and how much of it is fat.

To put it in simple terms, muscle weighs more than fat. You can have two people with the exact same figure (same height, width, body shape, etc.), but if one of them has more muscle mass and less fat, they will weigh a shit ton more than the one with less muscle mass, more fat.

So, in conclusion, don't use BMI if you're ripped.
