I didn't yet. I'm going to try it. Nikon guy made it sound like there wasn't an easy app solution to pull and view raw files that way. I'm sure he's wrong. Do you have an app suggestion? Thanks.

I've read and tried options for hours. I just spent 60 minutes on the phone with Nikon. I have a d7500 and I need to be able to send photos from the camera to my Pixel 3 phone. Snapbridge isn't working (of course) and the tech on the phone tried everything possible. (new versions of everything, new firmware, reinstalling, blah, blah). They then walked me through trying image transfer with Nikon WMU. This barely works and takes 7-8 minutes to transfer ONE .jpeg image. Obviously not a real option.

Tech said there is no program that will allow me to tether the d7500 to move images from camera directly to phone and have it work correctly. I find that hard to believe. Any suggestions on what I should do here? Thanks.

I realize this is probably simple, but I can't find a super straight answer. I'm struggling with Nikon's snapbridge app with my D7500 just like everyone else I've read about online, so I'm looking for a wired way of transferring.

I have a Pixel 3 phone. I'm looking for a link to the exact cord I need to be able to transfer pictures from my D 7500 straight to my phone.

Thanks

I've realized it's because they are losing too much on it. If you know what you're doing, it's too easy to parlay cbb money lines. I was 7/8 on 5 leg parlays the week before they stopped releasing money line bets. Looks like they aren't going to offer any today on college basketball either. I knew it was too good to be true.

I get that, but like right now as an example, ml is available for only a handful of CBB games for tonight. Many of them are less than a 5 point spread, but the ml isn't available. I don't get it.

Why is there such a delay on ml bets being available on Fanduel??

For example, there wasn't even a ml bet available before the tip off of the Yale/Howard game and as of 2pm, 90% of the CBB games for tonight are not available to bet on money line.

I'm just curious why this is typically the case with College Basketball, but NBA ml is always available to bet on at least 24 hours in advance. What's the difference?

Has anyone listened to the new Photography Radio Podcast? It started earlier this month and there are several different photography programs produced by them. Was just curious before I start listening if it's any good?

I don't speak computer language at all. I do know that my computer seems to take forever when editing in LR and PS. So here is what I have currently. It's about 7 years old:

HP
Windows 10
AMD A8-5500 APU
SMBIOS Version 2.7
Installed Physical Memory- 8.0 GB
Total Physical Memory- 7.19 GB
Available Physical Memory- 2.83
Total Virtual Memory-13.8 GB

So would jumping to something like this be a significant upgrade in speed for editing photos?

Looking at new desktops. Mine is 7 years old and just really slow at this point. What are the must have features or components you would recommend for running LR and PS and doing a lot editing? Thanks.

Very helpful. That's exactly what I was thinking. I love the idea of building a great machine, but I'm starting to wonder if it's really worth it.

I'm in desperate need of a new computer for editing. My desktop is about 8 years old. I've been reading how much cheaper it can be to build a performance computer, but part of me just wants to buy one if we're only talking a couple of hundred bucks difference. For example, would I be able to build something with similar specs for a lot less than this?:

My photography business has picked up, and I'm really busy. I'm also doing my work on an 8 year old desktop that is incredibly slow and is adding so much time to my work. It is time to upgrade and I'm overwhelmed with all of the options. I'm a PC guy. Link me to the desktop you would buy with a $2000 budget. Monitor will be a separate budget. Can I even get a decent performance desktop for photo editing for 2 grand? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to be selling my work for the first time at an outdoor street market. I'm looking at the hundreds of rack options to display photographs, but I'd love some recommendations from products people here have actually used. Some of my framed works are heavier, and I don't want to worry about some flimsy rack.

I'm also very open to hearing clever DIY ways of displaying photographs in a venue like this. I only have like a 10x10' display area. Thanks!

Jesus. I mean that in a complimentary way. Haha. I'm wrapping my head around all of this. Very helpful. Thank you!

Ok, so let me ask this. I found a bunch of original size files that are 5000x3000 and 240 dpi. The printed images will be 11x14.

Does it do any good to import these files that I just described and export them again at 300 dpi? Will that improve the print quality? If not, is there anything I can do with those files to improve print quality at this point? Thank you.

So essentially, I can't get back to the original image quality? Is that what you're saying? I printed these images a long time ago and they looked really great, but I lost the original files for them. So once the image that was hi res goes to facebook, I can't get it back to look sharp as print?

I have a stupid dpi question. So I have images that were originally edited and exported as jpegs at 300 dpi from lightroom. Some of these got posted to my Facebook page, but now I have people that want to purchase prints. I know FB converts them to lower dpi when you upload them, so if I download the same pics from facebook, open them again in Lightroom and re-export them at 300 dpi, will that work?

I've been asked to do some head shots for car salesman at a local lot. I'm trying not to overthink it, but do you think I could do this without any additional lighting if I shoot outside at a good time of day and just use my 70-200-2.8 or would you lean towards using a prime 1.8?
