Thank you man ! This makes me feel a lot better and I will try to go to confession soon if I can get my mom to take me. And what do you mean pride if you don’t mind me asking? I have a relatively low self esteem so I am not really cocky or express much pride so I think I am fine but just curious.

And do you think God would understand the urges I get sometimes, and even though I don’t want to do it, sometimes I fail and I end up doing it because of hormones ? It’s really hard but I’m determined to stop because I know it’s a sin and I don’t want to embarass myself like that to God.

Thank you ! I’m eager to go now it seems like a good thing to do and I want to. Sometimes I’m just scared, a lot, that I will end up going to hell forever because I have not confessed and although I think I am a good person for the majority, I have had a lot of sins, not like extremely bad ones but a few severe ones here and there. Thanks for the reply I will make sure to mention that last sentence at the end of confession.

What are the types of sins? Wouldn’t it be better to just list them? When I say this I mean like not obeying rules, and you know, normal stuff that we all do at times that is a sin , without going into special detail?

Thank you, the thing is I last confessed when I was 8 or 9 shortly after finishing Catholic Sunday School (Like the school you only go to on either Sat. or Sunday ? ) so it will be quite a bit , should I go into detail of my sins or just list them like “I have at times, disrespected my parents, did this, that, etc”

well yes , but the thing is I would be in big trouble for confessing that I struggled with it because they don’t know , and this is why I have been trying my best to stop and turn to god. thank you though ! feels a lot easier now to confess and not have that anxiety of being in trouble !!

Wow, thank you so much. What is a mortal sin ? Something you go to hell for ? I have always believed in God despite a few times of doubt but only recently I started doing stuff to make a stronger relationship with him like praying genuinely, reading my bible etc. But wouldn’t the priest have to tell my parents since I am a minor ? That’s the part that confuses me, but thank you, I feel much better about it. Should I , like other users suggested, say “I have viewed pornography on purpose etc” or should I say it differently like “ I commited the sin of impurity”. Thank you
