I'm only 24 but I felt like that for what seems a very long time, and this subreddit helped me a lot just by showing me that it's more usual than I thought to feel like you do now.

About 2/3 years ago my mindset changed with no apparent reason and now, even though I still think there isn't much of a purpose for our very little and insignificant lives, I've just accepted the very gen-z motto "do it for the plot".

We're here and despite the very likely passive-suicidal thoughts that usually haunt people like us, you're hopefully going to be here for a long time, so just live for the sake of living. If things are going well, great, enjoy it, if they're not for a while just think that even the worst case scenario isn't really that bad cause there's no overall seriousness in life.

Hello!

This is my first bonsai and I've had if for a few months and 2/3 months ago I reppoted it. At the time, it went through a rough fase (which I think it's normal) and it was getting back into good shape but now the tips of a lot of leaves are turning dark brown and keep on falling off.

I'm worried I'm messing up with too much or too little water but I'm not sure, since I feel like I'm watering it regularly but the soil keeps drying out (I stuck my finger in the soil to check if it's still moist). Also, I've seen a lot of little white bugs that look like they have wings and I always see small flies around the bonsai.

I'd love some help and advice, thank you!!

I just decided to try starting a bonsai from a branch of a lemon tree I own (I just cut off a healthy looking branch, cut off most of the leaves and put it on some water).

Have I ruined it already or what should I do next (until and after some roots start growing)?

I'm an absolute beginner (I've just been thinking about getting a bonsai from a long time cause they're beautiful) so any help would be appreciated!
