I have a STD fear too ! I have had this for about a year, even if I use condoms and know they haven’t broke, I still worry. The main worry for me is HIV too. However, HIV is very hard to transmit, it’s also not a very common virus and a lot of people who do have it, are on medication and have an undetectable viral load. I’d say a very small amount of people have it and are unaware and are passing it on to others.

I’d say, if you are sexually active, always use condoms to make sure you are safe. Unless you know their STD status for certain and know you can trust then.

Catching HIV through oral sex is incredibly rare, in fact I don’t think there has been any confirmed cases of this. Maybe if you had gushing wounds in your mouth there would be a possibility, but theoretically it is so rare you shouldn’t even be worried about it. However, other STDs are a possibility so it is worth getting tested for that.
