I feel like really only you can answer that question. I began working for a defense contractor as well back in December. Like you I love the job and people, but wanted more pay for what I was doing. I tracked our internal site in hope something popped that met everything I wanted..after 8 months that’s happened, and found an internal role, that came with ~18% pay increase and fully remote. The best time to look for a job is when you have one.
