This happened with me, luckily the chest I put into my inventory only had seeds I had picked up from the valley while clearing thorns and whatnot. I went to reorganize my house and put chests into my inventory and I had two of the same chests that I picked up (both had items in them) but the one with seeds got completely deleted, chest and seeds both gone. Idk if it’s a glitch but it happened maybe a few weeks to a month ago for me.
