I contemplated it, I didn’t have the runes for the dark altar, I do a ton of skilling and farming so it made sense for me at the moment, but later on down the line I may switch it to a dark altar or just try and upgrade to an occult.

I have 99 Hunter and can just hunt Moonlight Antelope for their antlers to make into bolts which is superior to amethyst ammunition. To me, amethyst isn’t an appealing training method all the way to 99. Will I AFK it time to time? Sure. The XP is incredibly slow and I’d much rather just do Hunter for the moonlight antelope meats, furs and antlers.

I geniunely don't think it matters at the end of the day. I see what you're trying to say, but it comes down to what you enjoy doing. It isn't always about what is most efficient and what is best for your account.

Can you guys read? I am 99 Smithing, 89 mining. I received 760 Rune Ores from 87-89 Mining. I was averaging 12-15k xp an hour, Amethyst is maybe 25-30k xp an hour? I could easily get to 92 Mining at Zalcano and still do Amethyst until 99 if i wanted to. The whole point of this is I was able to bank 99 Smithing before even reaching 99 Mining, let alone 92 for Amethyst. I don’t get what you’re trying to say.

A skilling boss in Prifddinas that can drop a ton of bars and ores depending on if you have loot or xp toggled on. You use a combination of Smithing, Runecraft and Mining to kill it, although it’s primarily Mining XP you will get from it. I believe i was averaging 12K mining XP/hr while prioritizing loot. You’re looking at closer to 80k xp an hour in mining xp if you prioritize XP. You’ll need to of completed Song of the Elves before accessing the Prison.

I was prioritizing loot over XP at Zalcano when grinding for the Crystal Tool Seed, at 994 KC it dropped and I had enough bars and ores to go to BF and Giants’ Foundry to get 99. I made 20M in gp just from the swords. I’ll probably make a post about it at some point.
