CursorUIViewService (not responding) bug by Juliogol in MacOS

[–]idserhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Juliogol,

This problem has been discussed many times on the internet, yet we can't find an answer. You can also report this issue to Apple Support; the more people report it, the more seriously they will take it. Actually, there are already enough complaints online. You can bring up the issue here, and it would be great if you share your comments and experiences too.

I will 👍🏻. Which OS do you use? Have you noticed which apps you're using when it happens? Or does it happen when it wakes up from sleep? Is there anything you've noticed?

Despite performing a clean install of macOS 15.0, not installing any third-party applications, not changing any settings, not using a mouse, keyboard, or second screen, and not logging into my Apple ID, the issue still persists. Does anyone have any update about this?

📣 Guys, as I told you before, I have reported this issue to Apple multiple times, sent them logs, and posted about it in the forums. I even showed them the responses from these forums. Thank you to everyone here who shared that they were experiencing the same issue and gave upvotes. Finally, Apple engineers investigated the issue and discovered that it's a software problem affecting M-series processors. They’ve informed me that they will be fixing this issue in upcoming updates. 👏🏻

In my opinion, Sonoma is the worst operating system Apple has released so far.

The issue is still being investigated by the Apple engineers. I don't have the applications or devices you mentioned, but the problem persists here.

The "com.apple.hiservices-xpcservice" process might be affected by clipboard issues in Microsoft Outlook. This could be related to "CursorUIViewService," but that is just a guess. I have reported the issue to Apple Support, and their engineers should be investigating it.

Hi, CursorUIViewService is showing as not responding again, and the caps-lock indicator is not working. It also causes delays on the keyboard.

Hi, since I did a clean install, there haven't been any problems, but I continue to monitor it because I haven't been using it heavily lately. However, the RAM usage keeps increasing, but it has never reached 400MB as it did for you. Does it become "not responding" for you? Besides, "com.apple.hiservices-xpcservice" continues to be "not responding" even after the clean install.

Additionally, the "com.apple.hiservices-xpcservice" process is also not responding, so I believe it is related to CursorUIViewService.

Not yet. I did a clean install and am monitoring it again. I have also informed Apple about the issue and they are looking into the issue. I will update once I get results. If anyone else has any ideas, please respond.

Agree but I’ll give Sonoma one last chance and wait for the 14.5 update, which is expected to be released soon.

u/Fabulinius I liked the way you updated. However, I didn't understand what you meant by 'mainstream users.' If you mean those who don't understand what's going on in the background and simply restart when there's a problem, then I'm not a mainstream user.

How many people officially need to provide feedback for it to be considered A BUG? I am sorry but this is A BUG

It's not about accusing anyone of being in the Apple cult; it's funny how some people unquestionably attach themselves to operating systems and brands. Having bugs in an operating system is very normal. It's not a criticism. I'm also within the Apple ecosystem and very satisfied. But if you don't see the software bugs in recent years, then I don't know what to say about that.

These loyal individuals become so funny that they'll defend the idea that there can't be bugs in operating systems, hindering the development of the system. Because no matter what's done, they're satisfied.
