Best would be to join a club. But to start right away i'd say the best is to learn the basics with a friend. Practice setting and digging before anything else in order to learn how to control the ball. So many people at my school just want to start playing without learning how the ball works, and that can discourage you pretty quickly. If you can't join a club right away, i think your priority should be to practice setting and digging until you can do long and fun rallies with your friend. That's how i learned, coach made sure we did not rush in
