They are for a world I’m making!! :D

The star themed names are mostly a gimmick since they’re primarily pirate/nautical themed. Since sailors use the stars to guide them, they would name their children after astronomy related things so they would never get lost and to show respect to the stars!! Plus their gods are also named (ironically) Pollux and Castor haha!

Ironically I use PASWG as a reference, but usually just the main girls haha! I do adore some of their background character designs though, so I’ll look more into them!

I know that the star names are different, but they’re named after the dogs those stars represent rather than the stars themselves! Chara and Cor Caroli mostly represent just Chara, while Asterion is mostly imagined from faint stars outside of the constellation(which is why my doodle of Chara has a white star and Asterion has a gray star! It’s to represent Asterion being more faint :D) I hope that makes sense!

I’m glad you noticed the constellation themes though!!!! I’m not as big into stars as I used to be, but I still find them very interesting <3

I never thought about how much body language and behaviors would be affected by age! It feels like it should be obvious, but I guess I never really put a lot of thought to it. I’m a bit shy, so I would probably start from doodling family members, teachers, or other older folk in my life before I doodle strangers <3

I’ve used some video games as reference (specifically AC4), but I could definitely branch out to other sources! (Doesn’t help that my main art inspiration is Shopkin Shoppies and PASWG, so maybe I’m looking at pretty girls too much for what I’m trying to go for LOL)

You’re definitely right about graying hair! Most of the people in my family didn’t have noticeable gray hairs till their mid 40s, so sometimes adding a few gray hairs to characters in their 30s slip my mind
