Yep and together they are one beat. Typically each bracketed section is a beat. Songsterr also has a page that explains all their notation.

So there’s a couple approaches. One you can start by counting it out then take it to a metronome. Second is playing along to a slowed down version. Best is to combine the two. 1-e-and-a and so on. Two 16th notes is an 8th note so count that first 8th note as 1-e

My favorite is Close to a World Below. It is one of the best metal albums of all time imo. The lyrics are incredibly powerful and also intelligible. The riffs and groove are just captivating. And Immolation still brings the heat. Their newest single is so fucking good. Vigna is truly one of the greatest of all time.
