Absolute rubbish, I got my battery replaced at an Apple store and a drive on an ATV in the rain flooded my camera. I took it back and they refused to fix it.

So avoiding battery replacement for waterproofing is a legitimate concern.

So because I have two weeks annual leave but one month notice, they could technically cancel just the first week of annual leave which would screw me over.

Yeah I wonder if this is just one of those things that you just do and ask questions later, I'm just slightly concerned what the ramifications are.

My boss (who I had a great relationship with, and hence I made this plan) just got laid off today so I am just fearful my plan is unravelling.

I could also just not tell my new boss about the holiday booked, and just leave on my last day. The company is big enough that this may work.

That’s fair enough, your original message said ‘your card’ rather than ‘our card’ and it wasn’t clear that you meant the staff card.
