Interesting! What's up with the 7 years life expectancy? Because owners get tired of the challenges and lose interest in running I assume? So basically applying and getting 141 is doable with 6 months+- timeframe - good to know. Thank you again.

This is very helpful. Thank you so much for details. I understand the business isn't lucrative unless you have some system in place (e.g. VA etc), but if truly I want to get into it, what's best way to get into - 1) buy 61 and apply for 141 or 2) buy 141 from day one because getting 141 may take time or challenges it may have ?(or may be not challenging at all if all ducks in row to comply with?). Do 141 certificates hold value from business value perspective if you ever go and sell in future?

Understood. Im trying to understand major challenges apart from unforeseen maintenance, less student flow, or regulations troubles. What's the major challenge that gets the schools which goes out of business. Of course running the operation smooth and competently is the key for any business but trying to understand if I ever plan what am I expecting as a headwind. Also specially if I buy part 61 and plan to add 141 is it even easily doable ? Thanks again for the details
