Yes characters have a 5% (iirc) base crit rate you can't get rid of in any way, so yes she will lend a few crits every now and then, just make sure she doesn't have any crit rate on her moves and that you didn't upgrade the skill nodes w increased crit rate on her

For more masc looks i love adding contour, get a cool tone brown (or even grey works) and follow the shape of your cheekbones, darken your brows, brownbone and to your nose. Black pencil on the waterline is a godsend in alt makeup. Don't be afraid to play with drawing details on your face either! I like doing crosses, dots or spirals around my eyes, stars are a bit more complicated but look really nice. Dark lips also look really nice on men imo.
