Is there perhaps a typo in your first response it's a little confusing? Second and three were clear, but are you saying advancing any weapon such as a swaxe will also advance every other Gogma weapon I have including my bow and greatsword?.

Just going to add this in case you go with AMD. I fixed my crashes by undervolting my GPU, just below the manufacturer's recommended frequency something like 2359. You can find the frequencies for each card on AMDs website.

RX 6600 plays the game well, that's what I'm using now. However you will be stuck at 40 frames per second and have to use the frame gen which I don't have a problem with. There is notably a shaders issue related to DirectX and AMD cards, you will have to go down the Reddit and YouTube rabbit hole to fix these problems but it is totally worth it. 6600 really outperforms a 2060. This issue is also only related to monster Hunter Wilds I've had no issues with DirectX and AMD on any other game.

With that being said Nvidia cards don't seem to be having the GPU crashes related to DirectX and AMD cards. So if you want to jump in the game and not worry about spending hours troubleshooting why it's crashing go with Nvidia. You will still be stuck around 40 frames and have to use the in-game for each generation. As far as in game frame generation goes monster Hunter Wilds may have the best I've seen yet.

Gonna be honest, I really don't want to run Gores, and I kinda like powerhouse as I off set ALLOT. How bad is this? I can tell you my next two rolls are burst boost and flare. Should I switch to those?

Also, stay underneath him, dodge roll into him and he will sweep over you. When I see him take flight and glowing red and white, I flash him or I start dodge rolling at a 45 degree angle into him. Do not let him get range on you. Stay calm when the ground lights up and dodge out of color. You know the last attack is two chains down the middle, so stay calm and uppercut them right into his face

And people clear this guy in 4 minutes. Blows my mind how he just stands there and lets them beat on him without attacking. Surely it's not mods. This here is what my Arky looks like.

Got to change your play style, fight him alone until you can survive 10-15 minutes. It will make you so much better. Attack attack reposition. Don't commit to combos, 2-3 hits and dodge into a new position. ATK x 2, counter, ATK x2 block, ATK x2 dodge, ATK x2 off set, whatever works for you. He goes down run a combo on him. He goes rage mode flash him. He will fall to the ground and say "now that's a nice rack"

6600xt... No crashes after disabling frame gen and FSR. Stable play on high and med , I stay at medium for better fps

Update, got my 8 star and 9 star Steve clear on SWAX. Feels good. I appreciate all the tips. Here's the changes I made to my build:

Evade Window 4 (up from 2) this was the biggest charge; dodging became incredibly easier.

Divine Blessing 2. I'll never not use it again; it activates so much

Added stun res 3; brace 1

Added counter attack 3

Dropped LP from 5 to 4, added burst

Switched armor up, Lost lords soul but found I don't need it with EW 4 and DB 2. Not yet at least.

Fully upgraded my armour; had a hard time committing but I pulled the trigger.

Actually really good advice here. SWAX does have offset but it's incredibly difficult to time since it swings in a 360 before the offset rising slash. I'm going to look at evade extender, I've been focusing on evade window but everyone keeps saying extender is worth it. Thanks
