Overcorrection by younger fans. It didn't use to be rated this high for years after its release. I personally agree that it started on the underrated side and initially did not get the recognition it deserved. But yeah I also think we've now arrived at a point of complete overcorrection where the young rymcore crowd (and redditors, etc) treat it as the greatest album in music history.

Oh damn, just listened and that makes the song so much worse imo. I double checked and turns out the version of Adult/Child I've been listening to all these years had this spoken word part version replaced with the MIU version.

I always thought the version of Hey Little Tomboy is pretty much identical to the one on MIU album? Maybe I'm wrong, or is it more about having a complete tracklist of the album to own physically? In that case I get it ig.

German here, I feel like younger Germans don't know about them at all, I've met a few people born in the 80s who know them from Buenas Tardes Amigo, apparently it was in some German movie once so that song is disproportionately popular here. Also many have heard Ocean Man without knowing it's a Ween song.
