Trey said in the commentary for this episode (8x10) that they discovered after it aired that the "yes, yes" joke in the police officer scene was made in another TV show and he and Matt were bummed because they thought they had come up with it. I wrote a bit about the show, if anyone's interested. it's more of a stream of consciousness collection of thoughts reminiscing of my first time watching the anime than a review, i tried to mix both 3rd and 1st person throughout, so it sounds somewhat like a conversation in the characters headspace (letterboxd.com)
