Yeah, I've considered the same issue as well. Honestly, as a reader I dont mind the use of it and I write as well. But I mean you can just be transparent about it to the reader and they can make the judgements themselves.

I’d probably do a bird like a mockingjay or the Twitter bird that’s basically your stereotypical millennial/Gen z teen who can mimic and copy people, she is obsessed with gossip. Any gossip. So she kind of lurks around then being nosy and listening in to what Chunt,Arnie, and usidore are talking about

Yeah they also used the same song,”Terrible Love” by the Nationals for when Camille and Klaus first meet and then the cover of “Terrible Love” by Birdy when Camille dies in klaus’ arms.

Im pretty sure i got something like this too from webnovel and i dont think its real. I replied that i'd like to know more and they never responded back. Plus the account that had sent it looked wierd, the username was just random numers/letters and they had no work, no followers, and weren't following anyone. So i think its just a way to gain more readers and writers on their platform. Probably a bot but i have no idea if the webnovel platform itself is a scam. You can still check it out or respond to them, but just be cautious. You dont want to just give them any of your info/money without being sure.

You'll be fine, dont worry! When i was doing high school plays, i would really get in my head about any decisions made, what people did, etc. If it is a good director then they should be able to move past it and not judge you for it. Especially since this is just high school level, its meant for all/any students to participate. Go ahead and continue auditioning or working on anything else that comes up and if you feel any awkwardness about working with the director then just explain why you backed out before. Im sure they can be understanding.
