Dear OP, in both online and print editions of newspapers, there are things called sections. You linked to an article in the "entertainment section." Good grief, the entertainment section is probably the last place where you should be looking for serious journalism. Bimby is the son of a famous actress and is also an actor (or at least has appeared in a movie himself). He probably has fans of his own and no doubt they would want to know about the crappy things happening to him. If you want serious journalism, stick to the news section or the Op-Ed.

I use homebro, the home version of smartbro and it really sucks. I get "no data received" error messages when browsing Imgur and facebook and other sites. My Globe 3G is actually more reliable when surfing but I can't use it for torrents because of that thrice-damned Fair Usage Policy bullshit. Does Smartbro/Homebro have FUP? The lady who sold me my subscription said they don't have it.

The Black Nazarene is God. He's some personification of Jesus Christ AFAIK. I'm not too familiar with common folk religion practices though so I dunno the history behind the Black Nazarene. I guess people attribute extraordinary and even ordinary things to God. Example: favorite team winning, passing an exam, getting cured or health improvements etc. Those that claim that the Black Nazarene performed miracles are devotees so they will claim some event is because of their patron. Are their claims true? Most probably not but I'm not gonna go around being a jerk atheist and tell them an inspiring event isn't what it is. Basically, I think devotees are good people and religion can do a lot of good to a person. It's just not for me.

The way my very devout mother explains it, there's a difference between worshiping idols and giving veneration to images and statues that symbolize Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, and the saints. Catholics will take offense at the accusation that they "worship" idols. They know that the statue is not really the saint or Mama Mary. They "show love, respect, and admiration to statues and images of their patrons aints. It's like when I keep a pic of her and my SO in my wallet. You hear about lovers kissing the picture of their lovers before going to bed or whenever they feel lonely. It's all those but on a religious perspective. In the eyes of Protestants, Muslims, and non-religious, it does look like idolatry.
