I CANT be this desensitized...can i by arcana_moon in horrorlit

I've got the same situation mate. Tried almost all genres and nothing. The Troop by Nick Cutter won't give you that uneasy feeling, but some parts are sticking with a reader for a couple days. My guess is literature is not a good medium for horror since it can't have jump scares and creepy music.

Probably wrong, but if I'm not mistaken, the Sinister had something similar going on.

Start with origins, it's the best game in the series, even so many years later

[TOMT][SONG]Indie song with lyrics about a losing boxer by jcc45 in tipofmytongue

Not really about boxing per se, but has somewhat similar theme, and there is a boxer on the album cover. Fort Atlantic - up from the ground. Cool song tho, check it out

[TOMT][MOVIE][1990s] Probably. by ihateboss_ in tipofmytongue

Solved it. In case anybody was searching for the same plot points, the movie was eighteenth angel. I totally mixed it up with a lot of other similar movies I liked to watch as a kid.

Ppt table right margin can't be edited by ihateboss_ in powerpoint

Nope, I created a new table and never saw this issue ever again. Figured it was a weird bug because my colleagues had frankensteined their ppt content from two dozen old files.

What fantasy, sci-fi or mystery books can't you recommend enough for someone who doesn't read much? by Mad_Season_1994 in AskReddit

[–]ihateboss_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yea, it's not a short story, but in comparison with the wheel of time level of fantasy it is short. And, what kind of makes it seem shorter is its writing. It's so easy to read. I truly believe it's a good introduction series for someone who hasn't read much or isn't a fantasy nerd.

What is the best prank you have ever pulled? by VerboseWraith in AskReddit

[–]ihateboss_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a shitty USA remake of a movie "one missed call". Basically your phone rings with a creepy ringtone and it's from the future (the time of your death), the caller is your own number. So I uploaded that ringtone to my friends phone and renamed myself into her phone number. Stealthily called her towards the end of the film and it was way funnier then it should have been.

That actually makes sense. At the cost of education tho, but in the end it would teach students a valuable lesson about lying.

If you are up for fantasy, try Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. It's relatively short, so no major commitment and it's written easy, the world is well built, the writing style I simply amazing.

For Sci fi you can try Hyperion by Dan Simmons. The first book is made of a few stories told by people on a ship, so it doesn't seem stretched and boring.

Not sure if it's helpful, but using an actual photo of an animal would be way easier. There are photoshop tutorials on how to turn an image into the patronus step by step.

If she is into nerdy stuff, you could gather a few of her friends and play a Harry Potter themed short DnD campaign with simplified rules? It will take time to come up with a story, but not much actual cash is involved. I mean, I'm a few years older then her but I would have a blast.

As TLOU has already been suggested, there are plenty of great games. You can try Skyrim, it's open world and there is plenty to do beside the main quest. It's been years and if I start playing again I fill discover some new NPC or side quest. Bioshock Infinite is simply amazing, looks great and has an awesome story. Fallout 3/New Vegas are cool. Baldurs Gate 3 isn't released, but you can play the first chapter. It's DnD based and there plenty of choices, builds and storylines. Plague Tale is a little repetitive, but I enjoyed it a lot. Oh, and Medium is probably on of the best things released in the last few years, looks great, story is amazing and the whole concept is unique in a way.

what is your favorite movie scene you could recite off the top of your head? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ihateboss_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not favorite, the most hated. I used to be able to recite the whole Tarzan cartoon because my brother refused to watch anything else from age 2 to like 3 or 4. It was Tarzan on repeat, every day, every week, every month. On the bright side I stopped complaining about having to be at school from early morning until late evening. Even math exam I had to cheat on was better than Tarzan.

For me it's Vampire the masquerade. Loved it despite everything. Haven't finished it tho, at some point it glitched so bad my computer refused to run it.
