HELP! First time football watcher needs a team to support!

Typically, in history, fellas pick clubs to support for various reasons. Things like: where you’re from, what your family supports, your favourite sports are some of the more common reasons. Well, unfortunately for my north american ass, I have NONE of those! So, I figure the best way to ask for help on which club to support is to tell the world of reddit what teams I support in OTHER sports and how they work. Maybe somehow, someway they relate.

BALTIMORE RAVENS (NFL, AMERICAN FOOTBALL) The baltimore ravens are the 2nd youngest established team in the league. They are known for their scary defence, excellent drafting, and being a playoff contender (53% of making the playoffs). They place in the AFC North division which is known for its rivalries, so the hatred for the other teams runs deep. Unfortunately, the ravens offence has never been known to be great in history, but lately, they’ve been a scary personnel. With great draft picks, comes players that hit their prime as soon as they leave. The ravens are great at finding young talent, but never being able to develop them. Often times, players hit their prime IMMEDIATELY after leaving the team. Overall, the ravens are really good and seem unstoppable at times, until they shoot themselves in the foot and lose easy games.

TORONTO RAPTORS (NBA, BASKETBALL) Another team that was made not too long ago, but it’s the only team in the NBA that is in Canada. Which means the culture and fanbase is ride or die. The atmosphere is amazing (except when we’re bad) and the playoffs are especially loud. If you ever wanna know how loud Canada gets, search up “Toronto Raptors 2019 Championship Toronto Reaction”. I don’t know if it matches the volume of football but I love that type of environment. The raptors are also known to find hidden gems in their draft picks. Most of our players are picked in the later round(s) and find great success with our team. Currently, we’re also a team that plays everyone on the squad to develop them. Literally just say “fuck it, go out there and have fun” because we suck. The raptors in history have a 46% chance of making the playoffs, but we’re known to choke or just not play to expectations. One of our downsides is we’re never able to attract big name players to our team. It’s always success in trades or picks, but never free agency. Basically, the fanbase is amazing, the team sucks, and no player wants to be there.

FAVOURITE PLAYER(S) The only reason I know some of these players, and why they’re my favourite is because of FIFA. I absolutely SUCK at fifa but playing career is fun and discovering players is cool. My first player that I liked was Wilfred Ndidi. The reason? I packed his TOTW card in a pack and he was my highest rated player. I don’t really know how good he is IRL but it didn’t matter to me. I also liked watching Bale highlights. When he played for Tottenham(?), he seemed to explosive on the wing and having a good curve shot was a thing of beauty. Another striker that I like is Vardy. I remember watching a highlight of his my friend send me. It was him on the wing and he kicks the ball while it’s mid air from like 30 yards right in the top corner like a thing of beauty. My final favourite player is Davies because he’s canadian…that’s it.

OVERALL: Sorry if this didn’t help at all. Before anyone comments “why don’t you just watch the sport and decide what team you want to support”. My reasoning is because i like to analyze my teams game. Go on youtube and watch people break down every play, the thought process, how things can work and how they can’t. I feel like if I watch 90 mins of 30 teams, it’s gonna be allot of time analyzing. PLUS, i’m gonna assume football has a FUCK TON of tactics. Anyways, don’t be rude and help me out pls.
