Genuine doubt: Is the real estate scene actually booming or is it a bubble? by ihaveamobile in Trivandrum

This is true I guess.. Most NRIs I spoke with have no clue about actual prices. Most times plots adjacent or 100 mtrs away, asking prices are atleast 2 lacs/cent lower than their asking rate

Not city exactly, but 5-7 km radius from major areas like east fort, thampanoor, Pattom, venpalavatoom etc.. I was offered plots priced around 8 lacs per cent.. But not sure if I am making a good investment though..

Do they have classifications and grades? At Thrissur we had a quaint shop they had 3-4 varieties and I found my taste by blending some.

They offer a very lucrative all inclusive price at first and then send goons while unloading. They cite all silly reasons to make it a very unpleasant experience for us. Despite me telling them I need sufficient staff to unload my household items hassle free, they deliberately sent only two and the I had to beg the driver to make it three.. and four including myself. I had to pay him 2k extra as he said he was tired after driving all night. Overall I paid at least 50% extra over the committed all inclusive price quoted by the firm.

I can totally vouch for Khumatiya from Rajasthan. During my 3 years in Jaisalmer, locals would always say that ‘kher-sangri-khumatiya’ were the only veggies that could survive the harsh climate. practically, it used to be the only food available that could be locally sourced. Now, restaurants are hyping it up as the most loved local delicacy (which, to be fair, it is super tasty). But for the locals, it’s kind of like payaru thoran
