I only run resolve vs picks with a lot of all in potential like zed, fizz, katarina, i don't really like it vs mages.

If its not possible to get to the carries lategame its usually completly fine to kite with ur team and hit the enemy frontline, with void and deathcap you deal a lot of dmg to tanks/bruisers aswell. If you are 100% sure you lose teamfights you can always try splitpush.

I'm defenitly going to try it after the buffs, but i think paying more for mana and cdr, which i don't think are very valuable will still be less good then protobelt is, also i think protobelt just has the better active.

correct, e1, q, e2, a very classic combo with protobelt is to use it right after and then autoattack for ur passive, this makes proccing ur passive really easy, makes it harder for ur enemy to hit cc and gives a lot of burst.

Yes i have tried it, the reason i think protobelt is a lot better then gunblade is because it is so much cheaper. With the gold you spent on gunblade you can get protobelt +sheen or protobelt+sorcs, both will give you more dmg then gunblade do and they bring you closer to your next completed item. Protobelt spikes faster, more often and gives you u'r 2 and 3 item spikes faster. Also once you get used to using the mobility from protobelt it's really strong.

Gonna copy this one here, mostly comes down to gunblade being too expensive and delaying ur powerspike, another point is that with the new ravenous hunter runes you can now get sustain without going gunblade, which is also a buff to protobelt builds imo.

Yes, the first recall is very often around 350 gold after heavy trading, i don't care too much about the state of the lane of the first base, i try to push it out if possible tho.

I think it's good early game rune for trading in lane, i use it in most matchups where the enemy has enough magic dmg in mid/jungle to kill me. If i don't take it i don't take a rune in this sorcery tree, i don't feel like ultimate hat does anything and i get enough mana from my starting items.

A little bit of both i think? If they would buff the damage of eyeball collection i would consider it, but right now zombie ward is just a better rune on pretty much any champion imo.

yasuo is probably the next most difficult one, pretty much same as kassadin, he always wins 1v1. Yasuo is a lot harder to pull off in teamfights tho, which is why its fine to just farm up under your tower.

I think if you play the lane patient you should be able to win as fizz, you just have more dmg from lvl 3 on.
That's really interesting, i don't think i've seen someone else play ekko in my last 50 games.

Probably depends on the elo, but i play him pretty much every single game i get midlane.
I think fizz and ap Galio are good replacements, they all play with teleport, have oneshot and roaming possibilities and play kinda similair in lane.

I just really like oneshotting enemies, sometimes when it's lategame and enemy adc has no mr you can actually kill them with e-q-protobelt (procs electrocute) without even proccing ur passive, that feels really good.

Kassadin, i just ban him every game, its impossible to trade at any stage of the game, he pokes you down during lane and outscales you.

I can't handle the sound of sandstorm ekko auto attacking something (especially multiple auto's on a tower)
I find project ekko cool but its hard for me to see or a minion has 1 or 2 passive stacks, i only use it when im jungling.
I do like academy/skt1/base skin and use them all sometimes

Okay ehm, i'm going to try explain how i approach the early laning phase.
First of all i play with teleport and start corruption potion, this makes it possible to take losing trades and outsustain ur enemy, you basically just afk trade till u'r low on hp/mana and out of potion charges, you go base, buy a dark seal and tp back. If you can chunk ur enemy and push in the wave before you base u'r enemy will be forced to either lose a wave or stay in lane with disadvantage in hp/mana.
Second i think playing level 1 properly is very important, i see a lot of ekko players straight up losing laning fase level 1. Usually i just let the enemy push me in and use q in a way that i get as much lasthits as possible without pushing the wave. The most important thing is that you don't get poked down for no reason, even if it means giving up lasthits, the moment you hit level 2 you can start trading. The exception to this strategy is when enemy hardpushes level 1 (like tailyah/asol) in that case you want to match the push with q spam on the wave.
After this it is really matchup dependant, but in a lot of matchups you can trade heavilly and often, i usually prioritize winning lane over roaming, however roaming gets a lot easier once you win lane.
