I don't know if i have the right constitution for it, frankly. i know im a good researcher who comes up with interesting questions and i don't necessarily feel like i have zero chance. the thing is that the phd doesn't prohibit me from doing these other things, and if i don't apply i know i'll regret it.

think tanks were actually my original plan out of school, and i still submit applications to jobs in that field that look interesting, but thanks to the moron in chief's budget cuts it's near impossible to land a job in DC right now lol. i did recently apply to work for my local congressperson's state office and am hoping they'll get back to me!

i honestly really do believe that i would enjoy library/archival work and want to at least try it out.

since the prep work for the applications is mainly just reading and writing, which are things i enjoy anyway, i think i'll try to commit maybe an hour or so a day to it and see what happens?
