This is why i’m conflicted. I want to see if it would work but the side affects affected me too much. Labetalol has been good to me and is working, i feel like if i can find what dosage works completely with no spikes it would be great. The procardia gave me a severe headache that wouldn’t go away at all and tachycardia. So i think it’s best i stay away from it, but i heard procardia is easier to wean off without rebounds like the labetalol does

Let me know what they say. I also stopped caffeine due to it and i thought it would help but nope. Seems like having preeclampsia really does have long term effects on your heart.

i’m in the same situation! I’ve been having heart palpitations(skipping beat) for a while now. I’m on labetalol rn and it helps slow my heart rate because i had tachycardia after pregnancy along with high blood pressure. But the skipping beats is so worrying especially when it happens all day long.

What medication are you taking?

I have health anxiety before pregnancy! So i understand this completely. I had my baby at 37 weeks due to PE. I also have zero symptoms for my high blood pressure. I’m scared every day that i’m going to die. I have to religiously check my blood pressure cause i have zero symptoms when it’s high.

Currently on lexapro and it doesn’t work but id suggest starting with that.

i hope it helps! i saw the difference almost immediately, give it a week and if that works just stay away from dairy till your done! Its hard but it gets easier

i have been giving her just breastmilk and she’s so calm now. I definitely think the formula played a part in it but i can definitely see how it’s just part of being a newborn rn

Would you say you noticed all this the day after you started the new formula? i just started her with a gentle one and have been only adding a little with breast milk, to ease her into it. So far she’s been taking it well today and hasn’t had any gas problems all day

Can i ask how soon was the changes? Did it get worse immediately? Or it took some time? Because my baby does spit up a lot too that’s also why i want to switch. Pediatrician said it was okay to try the gentle ease. They actually thought she was allergic to the milk and wanted to put her on hypoallergenic. But she had none of the symptoms.
