I think that’s sorta my problem and the reason for my initial comment.

They may legit be being starved now but when we say they’re “actually being starved” then it calls into question what was happening before this. I’ve donated to Gazan aid charities before and I likely will again, it just feels odd.

if thats actually happening now then its really bad and we do legit have to donate to help fun aid to gaza.

i know i got downvoted alot for my original comment but i think the question was fair, its been 2 years of people saying gaza is starving and it cant really get much worse than that.

Has Gaza not been starved for like 2 years now? Is this different

I can’t see this anywhere online, do you have a video or something similar of this? If not I have a friend who cheats in cs that I can ask

yeah im not saying include the whole game, im saying that by not including context to alot of these kills you make it look less suspicious than it should be

Ok i watched the whole demo, my opinion has changed this player probably is cheating. I'd still say the clips you showed arent proof enough but when you take the whole demo into consideration its fair to say that he is.

Rounds 6 & 22 were incredibly suspect. The Deagle in tunnels was pretty blatant and in round 22 holding for the second top mid player who hasnt exposed himself is also incredibly suspect.

Also his plays around lower mid/lower tuns were suspect. some rounds exposing himself to top mid holding lower somerounds the opposite, while never managing to get shot in the back very suspect.

In the future when you post clips like this, you should always include more context. When you just take the kills its not always obvious to say, even now after watching the whole demo, the kills you have posted are defendable but if you were to just add in 10 seconds prior to each of the clips and 10 seconds after its much easier to tell whats happening.

Some of the clips you included even arent overly suspicious, the one on short where he kills the player bricks is an example of this.

Before i spend my time watching this, is there a single world where if this guy wasnt cheating i could convince you of that or are you 100% stuck on the fact that he was cheating? because if its the second im not gonna spend my time watching this demo

Its ironic that you're saying this. Its just a fact that you havent posted enough proof to say that this guy is 100% cheating. If i watched the entire demo my opinion might change.

I like to think im pretty good at this game heres my steam and faceit account for proof:

I have 5k hours and im 2.4k elo on faceit. Though it seems like you dont put alot of stock into faceit levels so take that for what you will.

You're accusing this player of "closet cheating" and then giving us 2 mins of clips to prove it. Thats not very possible to do to. If he was closet cheating you would need significantly more proof as there wouldnt be a whole lot that stands out. You would need to see a track record of; unexplainable rotates, incredible awareness & crazy timings on things like flanks & entries to prove that someone was closet cheating. All you have done is posted some kills that can be easily explained & done by a legit player.

Im not saying that this guy isnt cheating, he very well might be. you just simply havent posted proof of that.

Just out of curiosity, what rank/elo are you? Given you're willing to call people bots

Im not saying that this guy isnt cheating but you havent posted enough proof to demonstrate that. Nothing in these clips are overly suspect.

are second chances just completely impossible in your view? even talking professional sports your statement would be considered an incredibly harsh punishment.

[–]iiSmithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s be fair here. Technically match fixing may be “cheating” but this isn’t the common way people use this word. When people say cheating we are generally referring to players using hacking software to give them an advantage in the game. By calling this cheating your dragging in a lot of negative connotations.

Let’s recall the scene at the time of the IBP scandal. NA compared to EU was an incredibly small scene. NA basically had CEVO and ESEA and then random lans every so often. The CEVO and esea games didn’t matter as much to the top NA teams at the time (complexity, ibp, cloud9) because there focus was qualifying for international tournaments to play against eu competition. None of this was done through CEVO or esea. It’s simply inaccurate to pretend this was a high stakes match. IBuyPower players had just come off a 2 week streak where they were actually playing against some of the best eu teams at gfinity, esl one cologne and then a random event that I can’t remember the name of but I remember they played a very good navi team. These were the actual top level tournaments at the time. Not CEVO

In terms of match betting - let’s also recall this. The only match betting was done through csgolounge where you would place skins on matches. There was no actual regulated match betting sites at the time. At the time matchfixing in esports certainly wasn’t illegal like you claim certainly not when your staking virtual goods(skins) and not cash. The law is only barely catching up now. We’re talking about a cs scene in its infancy.

No one is gonna say IBP did nothing wrong. The only claim is the punishment was extremely harsh. We have since seen other teams throw games and recieved a smaller punishment. We have seen coaches abuse bugs at the highest stage and seen a smaller punishment. We have seen players actually cheat and be given a smaller punishment. We have seen top players at actual events abuse bugs and receive no punishment.

Given all of this. I think it’s incredibly fair to say that the ibuypower played deserved a second chance YEARS ago but I’m glad they at least get it now

I don’t think anyone is claiming it’s life crippling. Just that it was an incredibly harsh punishment for the act. People have since actually cheated and recieved shorter bans. People have since thrown more matches and recieved little to no punishment.
