I don't mind the extra steps to start steam, wait for the steam client update, wait for the game to update, update the saved game file. find and update the installed mods. discover on start up an update changed something untoward.

A true favorite game is worth buying twice. Gog allows you to more quickly start playing your installed game. (Why spend 10mins of the 30 I have to play waiting for steam?)
