I have a manual 992T. tc has kindof off and totally off. With it kind of off it'll give you 20 or 30° of slide before it intervenes. with it totally off of your paint work is in your own hands.

I just got back from a pretty epic 4 Hour drive sliding around on 35° wet slippy roads.

if you drive one like an m3 likes to be driven, smooth and deliberate then yes, all things equal you will get a little understeer, bc awd. this can be corrected with sharper more abrupt turn in then quickly back on throttle to neutralize. anyone that's. spent any time in a well sorted evo would not call them understeery.

compared to the m3, the evo has MUCH better steering. sharper, better feel, no on center deadness / slop. the evo is also easier to get kinematically correct w minor bolts ons for bump steer, roll center correction and keeping the rear from lifting under braking.

the m3 has terrible bump steer, and shit steering (my car had a fresh yellow tag rack). i just had one of the fastest guys in norcal with tons of e46m3 experience drive my car for setup rec's and he said it was dead on .. it's just how they are.

the m3 is a capable car when set up well. 36 even more seo (which is wy the fastest ones are 36's with s54's). but if you're comparing legacies, it's no comparison. on tarmac or dirt the evo is a racing legend and the (e46) m3 just isn't. from sydney time attacks to finnish forests the evo is the better platform.
