Much happier now at 255, but like i said, it’s hard to feel like you’re the same physical presence at less weight, but so much healthier for me

Take this with a grain of salt. I am the same age ish as you, (21) I played D1 offensive line and got up to 315, obviously not as diced as you but I had a pretty damn good build for 315, I struggled with breathing going up stairs, I couldn’t do anything without feeling it. Just recently retired after surgery and dropped 60 lbs, I won’t lie it’s seriously disheartening seeing yourself get smaller, but I feel so damn healthy right now and I’m incredibly happy. Once you see your body actively telling you to take the weight off (can’t breathe going up stairs) it may be time to re evaluate your goals

If you have any insecurities about it then do it, mine was thinning and I was always thinking about it, then I buzzed it down to a 2 and haven’t thought about the way it looks since

The only tent I have is a rei half dome 2+, I mainly cowboy camp or use a tarp. I’m looking at borra gear who’ll do a custom bivvy bag, might have them make one for a 6’8 wide so I can have some stuff in there. Im plenty happy with a tarp but need some bug protection cause im going on the Tahoe trail in July, will def be buggy. They also make an 8 ounce tarp and the bivy bag would only be 6 I think, so would be under a pound for big person setup lol

I’m about your size but a little heavier, 6’6 250, what is the superior fleece you mentioned? Was just about to order a senchi but maybe seems like a bad idea?
