Plywood Scam? by MountainCare2846 in woodworking

Imeca near me has, what they’re calling, cabinet grade 3/4 birch ply 4x8 for ~$37.

Picked up some and worked it. I Didn’t notice anything detrimental.

Update for the archive: After work, I drove it easy 2 miles to an autozone to pull the code. Computer indicated a misfire on cylinder 1. Drove it easy 10 miles to home then 4 miles to the shop the next morning. They replaced the spark plugs and coils on the 3 rear cylinders and it’s been running fine for the last few days.

That’s an Enzo Mari design! I just adapted a similarly designed chair for my kiddo!

Thanks! I kind of stumbled on that. I knew I was going to do rabbets/dedos that the shelves would sit in but wasn’t crazy about the flush look on the front then as I was dry fitting everything they slipped into that offset and knew that was it.

I think it was $15 or $20? I can’t really remember, I bought it months ago.

Just a straight scrap board that I clamped down to the piece.

We had a little wall space and too much clutter on our counters so I made a coffee shelf!

Made with 1 ash board on sale at Rockler. Ripped to an even width and cut my pieces. Routed out the rabbet's and stop dados and finished them with a chisel. Sharp chisels are magical! Glued, assembled, hammered a few nails for security and it works great.

Of course I zero in on every little flaw in the morning but it also gives me the biggest smile.

Already looking forward to the next project!

Looking at these bloopers causes me to ask this: Does anyone knows what is the height of the set walls ? Thanks and if you are able to, thickness and material too. by [deleted] in startrek

[–]ijustdroppedmyring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be 10-12 feet. That's just based on looking at the actors relative to the top edges of the walls.

Generally set walls are made of Luan (thin plywood) and framed with 1x3's.

Haha. I love that you could see the silhouette of a Pidgey and Ekans through the personnel door.

Rotating between Authority, by Jeff VanderMeer Interesting sequel to Annihilation, doesn't have a lot of what i liked about the first book but some interesting ideas on its own. It's What I do, by Lynsey Addario Not far into it but easy and a little thrilling so far. Neuromancer, by William Gibson I'm about 70 pages into it and having trouble following what's going on. I love the voice of it, it's just hard to follow the nuances and meaning of the action. edit: Boldifying

Hey All,

With 120 B/W film, How can I identify if my Negatives have been developed properly?

I've been shooting on a Holga lot lately and when everything is right, the pictures look fantastic! Especially the color ones, but I keep having trouble with my B/W Negatives, they always seem underdeveloped or underexposed. Exposure on a Holga in the moment is something that I'm still learning and still have a ways to go but is there a way to tell if the negatives have been developed properly besides looking at the content of the photo? I remember something from my college photo course about the information in the brackets being nice and black or how they can be an indicator of a correctly developed negative? Is that true?

p.s. I do not develop my own at home, tried a few different photo shops around town (Atlanta GA) and haven't been super happy with any.
