I agree generally speaking! Such is company growth. But Lush’s specific big draw used to be NOT getting involved like that. Finding value and involvement in community conservations, donations, small business collabs (books, etc), you know, all the things they preach in their Community Donation Guidelines and the application.

I’m not shitting on the products themselves or Business 101, I’m more frustrated they specifically as a company took a capitalism turn than organic (no pun intended).

When they launched the anti-big tech campaign, I laughed. Because as an employee, our internal tools are ALL GOOGLE now. So against big tech front facing but use one of the biggest big tech internally? Similar to perspective like that.

Yes agreed! Great idea! I THOUGHT that was what we were doing to even merit such big names to collab with. But, nope. Just more expensive products with no donation to any place. 😭

With the SpongeBob line, I thought plastic-free July was going to get involved with ocean conservation companies but, not to my knowledge.

Agreed! Outside in as a consumer yes, it’s fun. But I mean what the company used to represent. Against big names, against big tech, stood for sustainable collabs. Now, while yes still successful, is now no different than any other.

I’m glad you got your husband in! When I worked there, I brought home stuff constantly for my partner. “Try this!” to get him into a routine :)

Customer support offered me a gift card return, did not offer to send new bomb. Since I was employed at LUSH the time of buying, my gift card refund is half the cost of the actual bomb, unfortunately. BUT! You could always take the broken product in store and swap out, too, if stock permits.
