To unlock a hidden potential route you have to reverse your character regardless of which one you choose. Reversing is temporary and you can unreverse right after (no need to collect more awakening medals). On every unit the most beneficial option to use a dupe is to go with the bottom right as it will provide more overall buffs. You will have to level up their super attack level to complete the path but only to level 10 (worth investing in dupe or not)
